The Pirates have a one-game lead over the Wildcats and sit just above them in the standings with an overall record of 18-11 and a conference record of 11-7. The team, however, has dropped its last two games, opening the door for some movement at the top of the standings ahead of postseason play. Most recently, the Pirates played No. 3 UConn to a big 91-61 loss. Dre Davis led the offensive efforts for Seton Hall with a 20-point performance while Kadary Richardson chipped in 15 points and pulled down a team-high five rebounds. The team struggled with shooting throughout the game and finished with a 37.7 shooting percentage from the field and 31.3% from the three point line.

When Villanova and Seton Hall met earlier this season, the Wildcats earned an 80-54 win at home.
